Assistance on your arrival in Lima, at the international airport "Jorge Chavez", and transfer to your selected hotel.

Day 2: City tour in Lima

At 9:30 am the City Tour begins for the most attractive and important places of Lima, also called "The city of kings". The tour includes a visit to the "Huaca Pucllana" considered a sacred village by the Incas. Also visit the Paseo de la República, Plaza San Martin, Plaza Mayor, where the Government Palace, the Cathedral, the municipality and the Archbishopric of Lima. We will visit the Church of Santo Domingo. In the center of Lima the old streets will be observed, in whose mansions the beautiful virreynales balconies will be appreciated. You can also visit the most traditional residential areas of Lima, such as: El Olivar Park in San Isidro, the Love Park in Miraflores and the famous "Larcomar" which is a shopping center with a beautiful view of the sea.

14:00 pm We start a three hour city tour including Santa Catalina Convent (the oldest monastery in South America), the Plaza de Armas, the Jesuit Church of "La Compañia" and its beautifully-painted chapel, the church of San Francisco, San Lazaro's district, Selva Alegre and the typical districts of Cayma and Yanahuara for a magnificent view of the Misti volcano.

Day 5: Colca Canyon

Early in the morning, after breakfast, departure by bus on your travel to the Colca Valley driving across Pampa Cañahuas at the Aguada Blanca National Reserve, habitat of herds of vicuñas and stopping at the Mirador de los Andes, the crater of Chucura, the "Mirador de Chivay", where beautiful pre-columbian terraces still being cultivated by native Collaguas can be observed. Arrival to the town of Chivay at 13:00 pm approx.
Transfer to your selected lodge. Lunch.
In the afternoon free time to visit thermal and medical baths.

Day 6: Colca Canyon

Early in the morning departure to the "Condor's cross" from where the great andean bird, "The Condor", may be spotted flying in circles above still farmed green pre-hispanic terraces.
Enjoy the impresive panorama of the Colca Canyon, one of the deepest in the wold (3,000 mts.).
On the way back to Chivay, visit to the mirador of Chinina, where we will find the famous hanging tombs and the hanging bridge of sifon that joins the town of yanque with Corporaque. At the town of yanque, visit its beautiful church and its characteristic stone streets among other attractions. In order to have spectacular views of the Colca Valley, we will drive to the observation points of Choquetipo and Artahuilque and also to the town of Maca.
After lunch at a local restaurant, return to Chivay. overnight at the hotel in Chivay

Day 7: Bus Chivay / Puno

Transfer from the hotel to the bus station and depart for Puno with a duration of 7 hours approximately.
13:00 Departure from Chivay to Puno in shared service.
- Stop at Mirador de Volcanes Patapampa (4950 masl) (10 min)
- Pass through the crater of Chucura Volcano,
- Stop at Lagunillas: observation of birds and lagoons (10 min)
- 19:30 pm. Arrival at the Puno Land Terminal.

Day 8: Titikaka Lake (Uros / Amantani)

Day 8: Titikaka Lake (Uros / Amantani)

After breakfast, take a two-hour motor boat excursion on the Titicaca Lake waters towards the unique Floating Islands of the Uros, ancient inhabitants of the lake, known as the Water Tribe. This Andean natives built their own islands by adding periodically new layers of a unique plant called "totora" (a type of reed), as well as their homes and boats. After that we go in launch to the famous Amantani Island which is inhabited by Quechua speaking natives. In this amazing Island, we’ll visit old ruins, share their customs, their typical meals and we overnight in a native’s house.

Day 9: Titikaka Lake (Taquile)

After breakfast, time at leisure to stroll by the quaint streets of this colorful island. Late morning, take motor-boat towards the Taquile Island, inhabited by quechua-speaking natives who have developed an efficient and original social systems and a fine hand weaving technique through generations. After lunch at a local posada of Taquile, take a walk through the several hills and archaeological sites of this 6km long island. Afternoon, return to Puno for overnight at a selected hotel.

Day 10: Bus Puno / Cusco

(08:00 am) Transfer from the hotel to the bus station and departure to Cuzco on the first class bus, which besides being very comfortable with reclined seats, tv and toilet, this bus makes some stops on the way, to visit some ruins near by. Also stops in a good restaurant to have a buffet lunch there.
(17:00 am) Arrival in Cuzco and transfer to the hotel.

Day 11: city tour + 04 ruins

In the morning free time to walk around the city and shopping.
(14:00 pm) The City Tour begins at the Temple of the Sun Koricancha ";
Then the bus leaves the city at 5 km where you will visit the ruins of Kenko, Puca Pucara, Tambomachay and the impressive Sacsayhuaman Fortress built strategically on a mountain overlooking the City of Cuzco. Built with large angular stones with an amazing precision to form the outer walls, some of these stones reach 9 meters, weighing 350 tons.
At approximately 18:00 p.m., we return to Cuzco.

Day 12: Sacred Valley of the Incas

(09:00 am) This travel called "The sacred valley of the incas" is a succession of pictures que towns, agricultural terraces and archaeological sites. We'll have the opportunity to bargain with vendors or stroll at the pisaq's typical indian market, with a catholic mass service on sunday (celebrated in Quechua, the native language).
Buffet lunch in a good restaurant in the sacred valley.
In the afternoon pass through Calca and Urubamba towns to arrive to the Inca fortress and citadel of Ollantaytambo, which was built to guard the entry of this part of the valley and protect it from enemies of the lower jungles; consisting in a series of superimposed terraces of carved stones accessed by long staircases.
We will have the opportunity to walk through the quaint streets of the nearby town, religious and agricultural centre during the Inca empire, and get a clear idea of the military strategy against possible invasions.
On our way back to Cuzco we will visit the picturesque andean village of Chinchero where the remains of what was the royal hacienda of Tupac INca Yupanqui lies. Admire its well preserved Inca wall at the main square, visit the beautiful colonial temple built on Inca Foundations, with interesting frescoes on the portico.

Day 13: Machupicchu

(06:00 am) Transfer from the hotel to the train station for a 04 hours train ride to the famous Inca citadel of "Machupicchu", one of the most renowned examples of inca arquitecture, well known as "The lost city of the Incas", get down the train in Aguas Calientes station for a 20 minutes bus drive climbing a 6 KM of winding road to reach the marvelous citadel.
Upon arrival, guided tour of the citadel of Machupicchu, visiting the main plaza, the circular tower, the Sacred Sun dial, Intiwatana, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of three windows and various burial grounds. Then time free to stroll by the archaeological site, and have lunch at Aguas Calientes town.

Day 14: Train Machupicchu / Cusco

(am) Free morning in Aguas Calientes Town to return to Machu Picchu or just to relax in the thermal springs.
(15:30 pm) Return to Cusco by train.
(19:00 pm) Arrival in Cusco , and transfer to the hotel overnight in Cusco.

At 3:30 in the morning we will pick you up from the hotel where you are staying in Cusco and begin our tour in our tourist transport, on the way we will pass through several small towns like, Checacupe, Pitumarka and Chilca. The final point of transport will be in Pampachiri located at 3800 m.s.n.m. There the guide will give us an initial explanation and we will enjoy our breakfast (box lunch).
Next, we will start our 7 km ascending walk that will last approximately 3 hours, heading to the Vinicunca Mountain also known as Cerro Colorado due to the variety of colors it has, to the surroundings we will have spectacular views of the imposing Apu Ausangate
After taking many photos, we will begin our descending walk of return that will last 3 hours, on the way we will make a stop to enjoy our delicious lunch and we will arrive at the starting point, Panpachiri. From this point we will re-board our transport that will take us back to Cusco, the trip will take 3 hours and at around 7:00 p.m., we will finish our great adventure in the Plaza de Armas of the city of Cusco. Day 16: Flight Cusco / Puerto Maldonado

Reception at the airport for a professional guide. From there we will go to Embarkation at Capitania port, the destination being our lodge. We will navigate approximately 40 minutes on the Madre de Dios River in a typical Amazonian boat.
Arrival at the Lodge. Here we will have a welcome cocktail. Afterwards you will be handed over the keys to your bungalow and we will have lunch. The kitchen of our Lodge stands out for the beautiful presentation and the exquisite tastes of the dishes prepared by our chef.
After that you will have some free time to get comfortable in your bungalow, or take a refreshing dip in our pool.
3:30 pm: It gets time to have some first contact with the jungle. On this trek you will see a large variety of tropical trees, medicinal plants, insects, butterflies and other animals. Upon return we will make a small stop at a lookout. Here you can observe toucans, macaws and other species of birds upon your return for sunset. (duration: between 2,5 and 3 hours) Returning to the lodge you can take a refreshing dip in the pool or have an exotic cocktail in our terrace- bar. You could also watch the sunset in the relaxing, tranquility of palm and mango trees at our port.
7 pm: Before dinner we will go on a nightly boat trip, a little safari trying to spot the white caiman (caiman crocodilus) that lives in the river banks.
8 pm: After the delicious dinner, those who wish can have some Smalltalk in our reclining seats or have some fun and make friends with other travelers in the bar. Another option is to take a bath in the pool (with bar) under the shining Amazon sky and marvel at the Cross of the South.

Day 17: Puerto Maldonado reserve

At 5:30am we will go on a trek of about 20 min until we arrive at the parrot clay- lick. Here a minimum of five different species feeds on special clay, vital to their metabolism. It’s a truly marvelous, multicolored spectacle.
8am: Breakfast and free time to explore the splendid gardens of Lodge. We have dozens of varieties of exotic plants and flowering trees.
10:30am: Again we will navigate the Madre de Dios River. This time on an expedition destined to “Monkey Island” where some species of these interesting and entertaining animals live in freedom. Following another boat ride of 30 min we will enter the territory of the Tambopata- Candamo National Reserve. We will trek 5km through the dense vegetation of the tropical rainforest. Giant trees, snakes, monkeys, birds and sometimes even the illusive jaguar can be observed here.
Our destination is heavenly Sandoval Lake. Its privileged settings are shared by numerous species of animals: Birds (in particular Hoatzins, Kingfisher, and Cormorants), different species of monkeys (Squirrel monkeys, Howler monkeys, Capuchin monkeys). At the lake itself we can enjoy the spectacle of Giant River Otters. Black Caimans and Piranhas (sometimes we can even observe anacondas in the areas covered by reed). This is also the habitat of the giant Arapaima, a fish of more than 2,5m, weighing in at +200kg. Traveling by canoe, the sunset in the lake is a spectacular unforgettable sight. On our return to the river we might be able to spot some nocturnal animals.
8pm: The body demands rest and food after an active day in the jungle. You will enjoy the exotic tastes of our meals, especially our desserts. If you still have energy left you can share moments of music and conversation in the bar whilst having a cocktail or enjoy the sounds of the rainforest surrounding you from your hammock.
After a long day full of activity you will enjoy the comfort of you bungalows hammocks. You can also recover with a massage by the lodges’ qualified masseurs.

Day 18: Flight Puerto Maldonado / Lima


After breakfast its time to say goodbye to the setting and staff of Corto Maltes Amazonia. Your guide will accompany you on your way back to the city. We will pass by our office again to recollect the baggage left. Following that we will visit the local market to show you agricultural products of the region; especially fruits of the Amazon. Afterwards our personnel will accompany you to the airport wishing that your stay was as pleasant for you as it was for us to show you this beautiful corner of Peru.
